The Mojo Philosophy
If you've ever thought to yourself that "there must be more to it than this", then you're not alone. Recent research has shown that around 80% of us are dissatisfied with our lives at the moment. This is largely due to the fact that as a nation, we are constantly trying to achieve more, earn more, lose more weight, have the perfect relationship, and only then will we be happy.
However, true happiness does not come from these external, material factors - psychologists and philosophers have known this for centuries - it comes from within us. Of course, fulfilling our dreams is important to our level of satisfaction, however, we rarely spend time thinking about why these goals are important to us and as to whether they will actually make us happy or not.
The MOJO philosophy is this: the secret to health and happiness is a combination of factors - you need a healthy body, a healthy mind and a healthy soul. And these are things we can control. Sometimes we can't control what happens to us in life, but we can control how well we deal with them, and this depends upon being in the right state of wellbeing in the first place.
Unlike other approaches, Mojo believes that the mind and body are inextricably linked - without a healthy mind, you can't have a healthy body and vice versa. When you work on both together, that's when you achieve the most powerful results - the state of "mojo", where magic seems to appear in your life.
However, Mojo also accepts life is like waves of ebb and flow; it's just not possible to be in a constant state of flow, and that to sheer nature of life dictates that there has to be the ebb too. When we accept that this is the case, and that sometimes life is difficult, that things change, and that we have a few red herrings thrown at us from time to time, we will find that it becomes easier. The Mojo philosophy is that life appears **** sometimes, but everything changes and evolves as it should, and the scret is finding a way to accept it and manage it as best you can. By looking after your health, and putting yourself in the best state possible, you raise your stress threshold, and these periods in your life become less painful.
